Hi! I am Kathy. I have been teaching for 29 years, all in the same district. I have no idea how that happened. I must have blinked. I wanted to be a teacher all my life, except for that time I wanted to be a Dallas Cheerleader. We see how well that worked out. I consider myself very lucky. I still love my job most days and I think of the internet as a game changer. I started teaching before there were computers in school (I am that old!). This blogging adventure is scary for me, but I would do anything to spend more time with my kids. (I am also mom to a spectacular almost 20 year-old occupational therapy major) Looking forward to learning through this process.
Hi! I’m Kelsey, I’m currently interning in a inner city in CT, teaching math to grades 1, 2, and 3. I’ll be graduating in May with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a wide variety of experiences including teaching in Hartford, Costa Rica, and South Africa. I love reading and hope to instill that love in all of my future students.
The goal of our blog is to have a natural dialogue about the daily successes and struggles of teaching, starting as a student teacher all the way up to being a veteran teacher. As a mom/daughter duo, we constantly give each other advice and discuss the happenings in our classroom because as we all know, it’s the little victories.
Thanks for stopping by!
